6 Modern Ways To Celebrate Black History Month
If you haven’t seen the Google commercial that aired during the Grammys, everyone is talking about it! It’s a celebration of all things black culture. Google did a really great job of highlighting how Black history is ever evolving. It is about historical figures and events like the March on Selma and Jackie Robinson, but it is also about modern day history makers such as the legendary Chance The Rapper, Oprah Winfrey, and LeBron James. Black people are doing great things every day! Which inspired me to think about the ways I can celebrate Black History in my hometown of Chicago. Chicago has a rich and extensive black culture from soulful restaurants to annual block parties to a slew of black-owned businesses. There’s so many cool things going on in the city but I’ve listed my top 5 events plus a bonus black-owned restaurant.
1. Pop-up R&B Yoga
